REACTIVE ROVER HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM

Reactivity and aggression are scary, difficult, and often confusing behavior to deal with - I get it!  I lived with a very aggressive, reactive dog for many years and I understand the stress it can cause on a daily basis.  I can help you relieve that stress. 

With the Reactive Rover Homeschool Program, I will bring my expertise and take care of all the technical, skilled training for you.  Let me do the heavy lifting. This means better results in less time so you and your dog can have uneventful, calmer adventures together.  Your dog will learn critical behavior modification skills for a healthier, calmer, happier, and well-balanced life.

Note: Because I will be training your dog without you present, the Homeschool Training Program is not ideal for dogs who have extreme fear or aggression toward strangers. If this is the case, the One-On-One Coaching Package is a better fit for you and your dog. 

 

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

• Clicker(s)

• Treat pouch

• 90-minute consultation - the first step toward addressing your reactive rover.

• 19 total sessions 

  • l train your dog for 4 days.

  • On the 5th day, we have a ‘transfer session’.  This is where we work together and I transfer the skills to you that your dog has reliably learned.  You will continue to reinforce those skills as I start the second week of training.  The weeks then repeat for a total of 2-3 weeks. 

• 45-60 minute sessions. 

• Each day that I train I will send you a video of your dog’s training and adventures. We will review these videos as needed at our transfer session for body language, mechanics of training, and responses that your dog has to the learning process. 

• I provide supplemental videos and handout materials, as needed, to support your learning. 

​​The 3-weeks of Homeschool culminate with the last transfer session. However, we are not done.  Your dog relies on you and actually needs you for his/her continued success.  We will continue with:

• 3 one-on-one coaching sessions several weeks apart where we work together to troubleshoot behavioral issues, build on skills and add new training behaviors.

​Note: the amount of training sessions your dog will need depends on the severity of reactivity/aggression and how long your dog has been practicing the behaviors.

At the end of the program, we will evaluate how far your dog has come and determine the need for further training.  At this point, we may schedule another day, week, or more Homeschool training.  Another great option is a MAINTENANCE PROGRAM.

 

WHAT'S INCLUDED in the maintenance program:

• I will train your dog once a week for 4 weeks - does not have to be consecutive weeks.

• We will meet 1 time for a 60-minute one-on-one coaching session.

• You have 4-months after the last session of the Homeschool program to complete the maintenance program.

• The 4-week maintenance program continues on a subscription basis until you are satisfied with your dog’s behavior.
