I'm Different

Your dog won’t be housed in a kennel or group setting — instead, they’ll live in my home, following their familiar routines and receive one-on-one care and attention every step of the way.
This program is designed to help your dog learn through trust, kindness, and science-based methods — never through fear or intimidation.
I do not use aversive tools or methods such as shock collars (e-collars), prong collars, choke chains, or physical corrections. Learning should feel fun, safe, and stress-free for every dog.
About the Program

-
One Dog at a Time: Your dog is my only in home trainee, ensuring 100% individualized attention with a customized training plan
-
Home-Like Comfort: Your dog will live as they would in your home — resting where they feel safe, maintaining their normal routines, and receiving plenty of love and companionship
-
Evidence-Based Training: All sessions use evidence-based, reward-based methods that build trust and confidence
-
Balanced Daily Routine: Depending on your dog's age and your goals, each day includes two 30-minute training sessions, socialization outings, hikes, walks, enrichment activities, play, and proper rest
-
Customized training plan: Training and behavior modification will be based on our agreed upon realistic goals
-
Real-World Practice: Outings in real-world situations to help your dog generalize skills in different settings
-
Connectivity: Weekly updates on your dog’s progress
-
Long Term Success: Follow-up transfer training sessions will help build successful, long-term behavior change
Most dogs master 1–3 new skills per week, depending on their age, difficulty of skill/behavior and prior learning history.
The First Step
We’ll start with a 60-minute in-home behavioral evaluation to ensure this program is the right fit for both you and your dog. During this session, we will:
-
Review your training goals and your dog’s current behaviors
-
Create realistic, individualized goals for their stay
-
Discuss what to bring for your dog’s comfort and familiarity
-
Establish the length of stay and post-training plan
-
Discuss how to maintain success after the program — because you are a key part of your dog’s long-term progress and success
Please note: Dogs displaying human-directed aggression or separation anxiety are not eligible for Board & Train, but I would be happy to discuss a customized one-on-one training plan for those needs.
Building Skills That Last
Whether your goals include better manners, improved focus, or behavior modification, this program creates lasting results through compassionate, science-based training and a loving, structured home environment.
Give your dog the gift of calm, confident learning — and yourself the peace of mind that comes with a trusted, professional partner in their growth.
